Handfasting Ceremony

handfastings all feature the use of ribbons or cords to tie the hands of the couple. The colours chosen each colour has a meaning and symbolism as does the way in which they are placed. All variations are offered and agreed upon in the consultation.

Stone Ceremony

Each guest will bring a stone to the service which will be as an offering of goodwill to the couple. Sometimes the stones are engraved or marked with words or symbols of encouragement. There are many variations to this service which will be discussed in the consultation.

Unity

Just before the vows the couple or the couple and family each light a candle to represent the joining of families and the joining of hearts.

Sand Ceremony

The couple each places sand into a jar to symbolize the joining of two souls and the love that will last like the sands of time. The sand can be of different colours with each colour having a specific meaning. The sand may also then have a tealight placed on top of the sand which will then represent the eternal flame of passion and joy.

Elopement Ceremony

A quick and simple service without customized content for the ceremonial vows. This is intended for those that just want the basics.

Renewal of Vows

What better way to honour your ongoing commitment to your partner than a renewal of vows. Like all other weddings; this can be as simple as a traditional vow exchange or a fully customized service.

Commitment Ceremony

For those that prefer not to be legally married, there is the option to choose a commitment ceremony as an alternative. It would involve much of the same scripting but without the documentation of a civil wedding.

Fully Customized Ceremony

Is there something that you have in mind or seen somewhere that you would like to have for your wedding? Share your ideas and I will make it happen for you! As long as the wording contains the legal requirements of the Government of Alberta, we can fully customize your nuptials to whatever you have in mind.
